ASHP President Presides Over Opening Session, Awards
ASHP President Leigh A. Briscoe-Dwyer, PharmD, BSPharm, BCPS, FASHP, opened the ASHP Midyear 2024 Clinical Meeting and Exhibition on Monday, December 9, 2024. Myhibbin FDA Approved for Organ Rejection Prophylaxis
On May 6, 2024, Azurity Pharmaceuticals announced that the FDA approved Myhibbin (mycophenolate mofetil oral suspension), the only ready-to-use mycophenolate mofetil oral suspension. Mycophenolate mofetil is an antimetabolite immunosuppressant that is used to protect a donated organ from being rejected from the body’s immune response. Read more.

In a Pharmacist Recommendation Video, clinical pharmacists Tammie Lee Demler and Amanda Yee discuss a recently approved, ready-to-use oral suspension of mycophenolate mofetil (Myhibbin) for solid organ transplant patients. This antimetabolite immunosuppressant is indicated for prophylaxis of organ rejection in adult and pediatric patients aged 3 months and older receiving allogeneic kidney, heart, or liver transplants, in combination with other immunosuppressants.
